Multimode is most commonly used for high speed, short distance applications, typically in LAN environments.

Each fiber optic patch cord is tested to Telcordia standards for insertion loss and back reflection. Single mode fiber optic cable types are also tested for APEX, radius and undercut. Each fiber optic patch cord is individually sealed in a plastic bag with cleaning instructions. Praxtel manufactured patch cords provide the solution for such protocols as Ethernet, Fiber Channel, Infiniband, ATM and Internet Protocol.
